Galatasaray are edging closer to secure the services of Nigeria international attacker Victor Osimhen in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Osimhen is departing Serie A champions Napoli on a permanent deal ahead of the commencement of the 2025.26 football campaign.
The 26-year-old forward spent last season on loan at Turkish club, appearing in 41 matches across all competitions, scoring 37 goals and providing 8 assists.
Osimhen, who turned down several offers from Al Hilal including an annual salary of €50 million is now close to joining Galatasaray on a permanent deal.
According to reports, Galatasaray and Napoli have agreed on terms for the transfer of the Nigeria international this summer.
The Turkish giants have agreed to pay Napoli €75 million to snatch the highly-profiled attacker this summer. Galatasaray will initially pay €40 million, before settling the remaining €35 million over the next year. The final preparations for the transfer are now underway, and the clubs are clarifying Napoli’s percentage in case of a future resale of Osimhen.
Osimhen has been playing for Napoli since 2020 and is contracted to the Italian team until the summer of 2026.
