Nigerian midfielder Dele-Bashiru set for Lazio exit as price revealed
Nigerian midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is expected to leave Lazio this summer, with the club setting an asking price of between €15 million and €18 million following a season of limited involvement.
The decision comes as Lazio begin planning for the next transfer window, with the player no longer considered part of the club’s long-term plans.
Reports indicate that the Italian side are open to offers for the 24-year-old, who has struggled to secure a regular place in the starting line-up since his arrival.
Dele-Bashiru joined the Rome-based club in 2024 from Sivasspor for a fee of around €5 million.
However, his time in Serie A has been marked by a lack of consistent playing opportunities, making just 17 league appearances this season.
Despite initial expectations, the midfielder has found it difficult to establish himself within the squad, leading to growing speculation over his future.
Those rumours, which intensified during the January transfer window, have now been effectively confirmed by developments within the club.
Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri has reportedly approved the player’s departure, signalling a clear willingness from the coaching staff to sanction a move during the upcoming transfer period.
The valuation placed on Dele-Bashiru represents a notable increase from the fee paid to secure his services, reflecting both market dynamics and the club’s expectations in negotiations.
As the summer window approaches, interest in the Nigerian international is expected to emerge, with Lazio prepared to listen to offers that meet their valuation.
His departure would mark the end of a short spell in Italy, as the club looks to reshape its squad ahead of the new season.
