The president of the Gabonese Football Federation (FEGAFOOT), Placide Dieudonné Engandzas, has decided not to seek a second term at the helm of the organization. Instead, he aims to secure a seat within the African Football Confederation, with elections scheduled for March. Engandzas is reportedly supported in this bid by the presidents of football clubs in Gabon. He assumed the presidency of FEGAFOOT after an elective congress on January 7, 2009.
