Fulham manager Marco Silva has praised Samuel Chukwueze’s impressive start to life at the club, while hinting about a permanent acquisition of the Nigerian star.
Chukwueze joined the Premier League on a season-long loan from Italian giants AC Milan and has since become a mainstay. He has become a key attacking threat with three goals and four assists in ten league appearances.
Impressed by the Nigeria international’s performance, Fulham could seek a permanent acquisition of the former Villarreal marksman.
“There’s time, we are very pleased with him. He’s been able to show quality… He’s a great lad, a nice boy,” Silva told the BBC.
Chukwueze’s form is a sharp turnaround after struggling in Italy, with England offering a fresh start. Despite losing his mother in the course of the week, the 26-year-old winger managed to feature against Manchester United on Sunday, with the side succumbing to a 3-2 away defeat.
The pacey winger started and played for 79 minutes, as Fulham fell short to the Red Devils at Old Trafford.
