FRIENDLY FOOTBALL: THE SENEGALESE CADETS TAKE THEIR REVENGE ON THE MALIANS
After suffering a 2-0 defeat in the initial encounter last Thursday, Senegal’s national under-17 football team (cadets) turned the tables on their Malian counterparts, securing a 1-0 victory in a friendly match on Sunday evening at the Caroline Faye stadium in Mbour (80 km from Dakar). Adama Sow netted the sole goal of the match in the 71st minute.
The Lion Cubs exacted their revenge on the Aiglons, setting the stage for a competitive rematch. Both Mali and Senegal, exempted from the first qualifying round of the 2015 African Cup of Nations (CAN) cadets, are gearing up for the upcoming second qualifying round scheduled for July and August.
