FRIENDLY: EGYPT HELD IN CHECK BY BOTSWANA -VIDEO
The Egyptian national football team, under the management of coach Bob Bradley, faced a setback in their preparation for the upcoming qualifying matches for the 2014 World Cup. Egypt was held to a 1-1 draw at home by Botswana in a friendly match.
Botswana took an early lead with Jerome Ramatlhakwane scoring in the 5th minute. However, Egypt managed to equalize as Ahmed Hegazy found the net with a header.
This draw comes ahead of crucial World Cup qualifying matches for Egypt against Zimbabwe and Guinea in the following weeks. The Pharaohs will be looking to regroup and improve their performance in the upcoming qualifiers.
