Despite the success in qualifying for the 2014 FIFA World Cup against Ukraine, the French national football team remains unpopular with an overwhelming majority, according to a survey conducted by Le Parisien. The survey, conducted by BVA for i-Télé and Le Parisien, revealed that 79% of respondents have a bad opinion of the team, while only 18% have a positive view, an increase of four points in less than a month. Interest in Les Bleus matches increased by 9 points to reach 46%, but 54% of respondents still express disinterest. The perception of players being individualistic is held by 82% of respondents, while only 16% find them motivated, 13% sympathetic, and 9% believe they have a “love of the jersey.”
