France-born forward of Malian descent, Mamadou Diakhon, has agreed to join German club Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.
This comes after Frankfurt reached an agreement with his club Stade de Reims over the weekend.
Diakhon, 19, is regarded as one of the most promising young talents in Ligue 1 and is seen as a potential key figure in revitalising Frankfurt’s attacking options.
This season, the teenager has scored two goals and provided one assist after making 28 appearances for Reims in the French Ligue 1.
Should the transfer be finalised, Diakhon would become one of Eintracht Frankfurt’s first signings of the summer and perhaps not the only arrival from Ligue 1.
In addition to Mamadou Diakhon, Eintracht Frankfurt are also looking at signing a few more players from the French Ligue 1.
The club is keeping tabs on RC Strasbourg attacker Dilane Bakwa and want to secure his services at the end of the season as part of efforts to augment the squad of the team.
