Newly promoted French Ligue 1 outfit FC Lorient have completed the acquisition of Senegal goalkeeper Bingourou Kamara ahead of the commencement of the 2025/26 football campaign.
The 28-year-old shot stopper joins FC Lorient as a free agent following his departure from FC Pau at the expiration of his contract at the end of last season.
Kamara penned a two-year deal with Lorient and is expected to play a huge role for the club as they seeks to make impact in the league.
Lorient, who are seeking to maintain their status in the top-flight are executing an aggressive effort to bolster their squad for the upcoming football campaign.
Kamara was among the best Ligue 2 goalkeepers last season with the Palois side. The Senegalese is making a return to Ligue 1 after previous spells in Strasbourg and Montpellier.
With his wealth of experience in the Ligue 1, he is expected to contribute significantly for the newly promoted club.
Kamara is expected to be the No. 1 goalkeeper for Lorient given the incumbent, Yvon Mvogo, is expected to leave the Brittany side upon the expiry of his contract.
