French international of DR Congo descent Randal Kolo Muani has explained why he didn’t succeed at Paris Saint Germain.
The French giants coughed €95m to secure the services of Kolo Muani from Frankfurt in the summer of 2023. However, it was a move that never worked out for either party.
Before joining PSG, Kolo Muani had racked up 26 goals and registered 16 assists in 50 appearances for Frankfurt.
The forward could not replicate his goalscoring prowess at PSG, managing just 11 goals and serving seven assists from 54 appearances.
“A Frenchman in Paris, who cost €90m too, has a lot of pressure and not everyone can handle it. I didn’t manage to. I had opportunities but I couldn’t take them. It hurts me but, as I’ve said, it is football and I have no regrets,” said Kolo Muani.
Since leaving PSG on loan in January, the France international is once again showing his best form.
In nine appearances for Juventus, he has five goals. However, his future remains uncertain. Kolo Muani joined the Serie A side on a straight loan deal, with no option to make the move permanent.
