French international of Congolese descent Nordi Mukiele has rejoined Paris Saint Germain following the expiration of his loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen.
The 27-year-old right-back spent the entire campaign on loan at Leverkusen, making 24 appearances, scoring two goals and delivering an assist across the period.
Despite Leverkusen’s strong domestic season, the club has opted not to pursue a permanent deal, ending Mukiele’s spell at the BayArena.
“Thank you for 24 appearances and two goals wearing the cross on your chest, Nordi!” Leverkusen posted on social media, bidding farewell to the former RB Leipzig man.
Mukiele is under contract with PSG until June 2027, but his long-term future in Paris remains uncertain. With strong competition at full-back, and PSG reportedly looking to refresh the squad this summer, the defender could be in line for another move, either via transfer or loan.
Signed from Leipzig in 2022, Mukiele has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under successive coaches, with injuries and competition limiting his impact. A decision on his future is expected in the coming weeks.
