Chelsea have named their price for defender Axel Disasi amid transfer interest from Newcastle United and Villarreal.
The Blues are willing to part ways with the French-born Congolese centre-back this summer, and have reportedly set a €30 million asking price, according to L’Équipe.
Disasi, who joined Chelsea from AS Monaco in 2023, spent the latter half of last season on loan at Aston Villa after struggling for consistent playing time at Stamford Bridge. Despite flashes of quality, he has not been deemed a long-term option by new manager Enzo Maresca and is among several players the club is prepared to offload during the summer window.
The 26-year-old, who has represented France at senior level but is also eligible for DR Congo through family heritage, has now emerged as a target for both the Premier League and La Liga. Newcastle United are in the market for defensive reinforcements after an injury-ridden 2024/25 campaign, while Villarreal see Disasi as a replacement for outgoing centre-backs ahead of their Europa League campaign.
However, both clubs are reportedly reluctant to meet Chelsea’s current valuation and are hopeful of negotiating a lower fee before making formal bids. Disasi’s contract runs until 2029, giving Chelsea some leverage in talks.
Disasi made 32 appearances for Chelsea before his loan spell at Villa Park.
