French international of Cameroonian descent Kylian Mbappe has been adjudged as the Player of the Month for January following his outstanding performance for Real Madrid.
Mbappe beat off competition from Dodi Lukebakio (Sevilla), Kike García (Alavés), Hugo Duro (Valencia), and Luis Milla (Getafe) to win the award.
The 25-year-old was a standout performer for Real Madrid in January, racking up five goals from three matches.
He also scored his first La Liga hat-trick in their recent game against Real Valladolid.
The former Paris Saint Germain star appears to have find his rhythm at Real Madrid, scoring 15 goals and providing two assist in the La Liga this season.
In all competitions, Mbappe has racked up 21 goals and three assists from 31 games in the ongoing campaign.
