France forward of Cameroonian descent, Hugo Ekitike, is undergoing a medical examination today ahead of his move to Liverpool.
The attacker is set to complete his anticipated transfer to the English Premier League club this week from German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt.
Liverpool are reportedly set to pay €90 million for Ekitike, with the total package potentially rising to €95 million with performance-based bonuses.
The forward will also earn a lucrative gross annual salary of up to €15 million and is poised to sign a contract that runs until 2031.
Once touted as one of Europe’s most exciting young forwards, Ekitike showcased his immense potential in the Bundesliga last season.
His flair, pace, and clinical finishing caught the eye of top clubs across Europe, but it is Liverpool who now appear to have won the race for his signature.
A lot will be expected of Hugo Ekitike once he completes his switch to Liverpool. He is joining the Reds amid interest from other clubs, including Manchester United and Newcastle United.
