French forward of Cameroonian descent, Hugo Ekitike, was on fire on Sunday, scoring and providing an assist to lead Eintracht Frankfurt to an emphatic 3-0 win against Heidenheim in the German Bundesliga.
The in-demand forward started the Week 29 encounter for his team and proved once again why a lot of clubs are interested in securing his services.
Frankfurt opened the scoring early in the 10th minute when Fares Chaibi picked out Jean-Matteo Bahoya inside the penalty area. Bahoya made no mistake, slotting the ball into the bottom right corner to give the home side a perfect start.
Just before halftime, Ekitike showcased his vision, setting up Robin Koch with a well-timed pass inside the box. Koch kept his composure and fired the ball into the same corner to double Frankfurt’s lead in the 42nd minute.
Hugo Ekitike capped off his impressive display in the 71st minute. Nathaniel Brown’s precise cut-back from the goal line found the forward perfectly positioned in front of goal, and the striker calmly buried his shot to seal Frankfurt’s 3-0 triumph.
With his goal involvement on Sunday, Hugo Ekitike now has 14 goals and five assists after making 28 appearances in the German Bundesliga in the 2024/25 football season.
