AS Monaco manager Adi Hütter has acknowledged that rising star Maghnes Akliouche may depart the club this summer amid interest from major European teams.
Akliouche, born in France to Algerian parents from Bouira, has been a standout performer for Monaco, attracting attention from clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester City.
Despite his roots, Akliouche has chosen to represent France internationally, having played for the U20, U21, and Olympic teams.
In an interview with L’Équipe, Hütter praised Akliouche’s development and hinted at potential transfer offers:
“He is already playing at a top club. We are all happy with what he has done over the last two years.
“He made a big, big step in the right direction. I can imagine that the club is receiving some offers from him.
“He is 23, and I don’t see many players with the same skills as Akliouche. When you ask me, he is ready to make the next step. We will see what happens with Maghnes.”
Hütter also expressed pride in Akliouche’s progression from the academy to a key first-team player:
“We are proud that we brought a young player from the academy to become a performance player at the club and then to maybe become a top top player at a top top club.”
Akliouche’s performances, including a notable goal against Barcelona in the Champions League, have solidified his reputation as one of Europe’s promising talents.
With his contract running until 2026, Monaco may face decisions regarding his future as top clubs express interest in the versatile winger.
