Eintracht Frankfurt are not ready to reduce their transfer fee for France striker of Cameroonian descent, Hugo Ekitike.
The club is insisting on only sanctioning the transfer of the forward for a fee of €100 million.
As a result, Chelsea’s move to secure the signing of the highly-rated striker has stalled in the last few days.
Hugo Ekitike is a transfer target of several European top clubs after excelling in the German Bundesliga during the 2024/25 football season.
Last season, the former PSG man scored 22 goals after making 48 appearances in all competitions.
In the last couple of weeks, Chelsea have been working to secure the services of Hugo Ekitike to augment the team.
Although the club leads the race for the signature of the forward, they have yet to reach an agreement with Frankfurt.
The Bundesliga club holds the forward in high esteem and wants Chelsea to pay €100 for the striker.
The Blues are reportedly keen on signing the forward and will submit an improved bid closer to the fee next season.
