Eintracht Frankfurt are being linked with a move for VfL Osnabrück attacking midfielder Ismail Badjie, with the 20-year-old seen as a potential bargain addition to the Bundesliga side’s squad.
The German-born Gambian youngster, who operates primarily as an attacking midfielder and wears number 37 for Osnabrück, is currently valued at €325,000 according to Transfermarkt. His contract situation is unclear, with no expiry date listed, adding to speculation that Frankfurt could try to prise him away for a modest fee or monitor him closely in case he becomes available as a free agent if talks over a new deal do not progress.
Badjie, born on 17 October 2005 in Jambanjelly and standing at 1.75m, has dual nationality with Germany and The Gambia and is right-footed. He is part of an Osnabrück side competing in Germany’s 3. Liga, and any switch to Frankfurt would represent a significant jump from the third tier to the Bundesliga.
The probability of the move remains unclear – marked only as “?” in the latest update on 28 April 2026 – but the link reflects Frankfurt’s continued search for emerging talent in the German lower leagues. With his current market value relatively low, the deal would fall firmly into the category of a developmental signing rather than a marquee arrival.
No official offer has been reported and the details of his contract at Osnabrück, including any expiry date, have not been made public, leaving room for further manoeuvre in the coming windows. There are also no confirmed senior international appearances for either Germany or The Gambia at this stage.
If a transfer to Frankfurt were to materialise, it would offer Badjie a rapid pathway from 3. Liga football to the top flight, a move that could accelerate his development and significantly enhance his reputation on both the German and Gambian football landscape.
