Franco-Senegalese defender Mamadou Sarr has completed a move to French Ligue 1 outfit Strasbourg in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old centre-back joins Strasbourg on a season-long loan from premier League giants Chelsea in an attempt to continue his development in France.
Sarr is making a return to Strasbourg only a couple of weeks after his €14m transfer to Chelsea. The talented defender impressed at the back last season for Liam Rosenior’s Alsatians, earning him a move to Chelsea.
He made 28 appearances across all competitions with Strasbourg before departing to join the Premier League.
Sarr is the third Chelsea player to have joined the BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 side, after goalkeeper Mike Penders and attacking midfielder Kendry Paez.
Strasbourg could not sign more than three Chelsea players on loan. The Alsatians have also signed Chelsea’s Mathis Amougou and Ishé Samuels-Smith on permanent deals.
