Franco-Ivorian defender Kassoum Ouattara has emerged as a transfer target for Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers in the current transfer window.
The 20-year-old left-back, who is in the books of French giants AS Monaco has sparingly featured for the club, falling down the pecking order to Caio Henrique.
However, a hosts of clubs in Europe including Celtic and Rangers are eyeing a move for the defender, having struggled to command a starting role.
The Scottish giants looks purposeful for the acquisition of the defender, having already contacted Monaco for the availability of Ouattara.
Besides Celtic and Rangers, Serie A side Torino, Augsburg, PSV and others have also express interested in the Franco-Ivorian defender.
However, the aforementioned sides want a loan move with a purchase option included in the deal. Monaco, however, would want a transfer if they are to allow the defender to leave the Stade Louis II this summer. Ouattara is prioritising maximizing game time as he considers his next move.
Ouattara’s current contract with Monaco runs until summer 2028.
