Franco-Guinean star Paul Pogba’s return delayed
France international of Guinean descent, Paul Pogba’s return to action could further delay following an injury setback.
The former Manchester United and Juventus star has yet to make an appearance for AS Monaco after securing a summer move to the club.
Pogba joined the Principality club as a free agent, signing a two-year deal that sealed a return to competitive football following a doping suspension.
According to reports, the experienced midfielder has suffered an injury setback, dashing out hopes of a possible return to action after the international break.
Monaco have been cautious about rushing the midfielder back into action, considering he has not played professionally for two years after serving a drug ban that was reduced from 4 years to 18 months on appeal.
Pogba did feature in Monaco’s preseason friendlies, but his official return to action looks as if it will be pushed back, having suffered a minor injury at the start of the week.
He is expected not to be involved in the sides trip to Angers SCO after the international break.
