France international of Guinean descent Paul Pogba will not be available for Monaco when they take on Olympique Marseille in the French Ligue 1 clash.
The Principality club plays host to Marseille in the French top-flight on Sunday, with both teams seeking for maximum points in the week 16 showdown.
However, Monaco have confirmed Pogba’s unavailability for the match, excluding him from the matchday squad. Meanwhile, reasons for his absence remains unknown.
Thus, Pogba will once again be forced to miss a match for Monaco. Notably, he had only just returned after serving a suspension and recovering from injury, and had already featured in three Ligue 1 matches for Monaco.
Monaco will, however, negotiate for victory on home soil with the former Manchester United and Juventus star. Pogba joined the Principality club as a free agent in the summer window after serving a two-year doping ban.
He will be hoping to regain his form in an attempt to make the France squad for the 2026 World Cup tournament to be held in the USA, Canada and Mexico next year.
Pogba was instrumental when the Les Blues triumphed over Croatia to the lift the global showpiece in 2018 in Russia.
