Major League Soccer outfit D.C United has yet to make a formal offer to sign France international of Guinean descent Paul Pogba.
Pogba, a member of the France squad that won the 2018 World Cup in Russia has been cleared to return to the pitch after completing his doping ban suspension last month.
The former Manchester United star ban was reduced from four years to just 18-months after appeal. Meanwhile, Pogba will have to find himself a new club after terminating contract with Juventus after the reduction of his ban.
The MLS outfit engaged Pogba two months ago over a possible transfer, but talks could not progress. Despite Pogba’s acquaintance with club owner Jason Levien, D.C United has yet to make an official offer.
Meanwhile, Pogba is said to be open to clubs in the Bundesliga, La Liga, and Serie A, while the MLS and the Saudi Pro League are also thought to be options for the Frenchman. The Premier League, where Pogba made his professional debut, is conspicuously absent from that list.
Despite being born in France and developing in the youth academies of Roissy-en-Brie, US Torcy, and Le Havre AC, Pogba has never an appearance in the French league, as he was picked up as a sixteen-year-old by Manchester United, where he finished his youth training.
