Franco-Cameroonian star Kylian Mbappe wants his son to hate football
France international of Cameroonian descent Kylian Mbappe says he would want his son to despise football, citing passion for his involvement in the game.
Mbappe has played football to the highest level, featuring for top clubs including AS Monaco, Paris Saint Germain and currently in the books of Real Madrid.
Despite his consistent performance for club and country, Mbappe insists he would want his son hate football.
The pacey attacker then confessed that the modern world of football is off-putting and that, without passion, he wouldn’t even watch it.
“If I didn’t have this passion, the world of football would have pushed me away long ago. I’d like to have a son who hates football,” he said.
Mbappe scored two goals during the September international break for France, as he edges closer to equaling the all-time topscorer for the country.
The Real Madrid superstar is six goals away from equaling Olivier Giroud as the all-time topscorer for France.
