Spanish giants Real Madrid can heave a sigh of relief following the release of Franco-Cameroonian star Kylian Mbappe from the hospital.
Mbappe, who is battling acute intestinal infection was admitted to the hospital on Thursday in the USA for swift treatment due to it severity.
Thankfully, the former Paris Saint Germain star has been discharged from the hospital to continue his treatment at the club’s facilities and, in time, will begin his rehabilitation and preparation for the upcoming season. However, his participation in the Club World Cup remains in doubt.
Mbappe missed the sides opening game at the Club World Cup as they settled for a 1-1 stalemate against Al Hilal last Thursday.
Having shared the spoils in the opener, the Spanish giants will be looking forward to snatching victory in their second group match.
Real Madrid will take on Mexican side Pachuca in the second round of Group H at the Club World Cup on Sunday.
Mbappe’s performance overshadowed the club struggles in the just ended campaign, where Madrid endured a trophyless run.
