France international of Cameroonian descent Kylian Mbappe is bracing for the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign, saying he can’t wait to start.
The former Paris Saint Germain star round up preparation for the new season with Real Madrid in style, scoring two goals and providing an assist as the Spanish outfit thumped WSG Tirol in preseason friendly on Tuesday.
However, the attacker has taken to social media declaring his readiness for the upcoming 2025/26 football campaign.
“Preseason is over. Can’t wait to start. ¡HalaMadrid!” he wrote on Instagram.
Mbappe’s debut campaign was marred by the Spanish giants trophyless run during the 2024/25 football season. The highly-profiled forward’s performance overshadowed the clubs unimpressive season.
The former Paris Saint Germain star racked up 31 goals in the Spanish La Liga, earning him his first European Golden Boot at the end of the season, surpassing Viktor Gyokeres.
In all competitions, the Frecnh-Cameroonian attacker netted 44 goals and provided 5 assists in 59 matches for Real Madrid in all competitions.
Since joining Real Madrid, Mbappe has only claimed the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup. At the same time, he has yet to lift the coveted Champions League trophy—unlike PSG, who won it in their very first season after Kylian’s departure.
