Franco-Cameroonian star Kylian Mbappe has reached a new milestone with the France national team, etching his name into the history books as Le Blues top assist provider of all-time.
Mbappe, who plies his trade with Real Madrid was in action when France succumbed to a 5-4 defeat to Spain in the UEFA Nations League final.
Despite the defeat, the European Golden Boot winner scored and assisted a goal in the highly competitive clash on Thursday night.
In the 79th minute, Mbappé provided an assist to Rayan Cherki, cementing his place in the national team’s record books as the all-time leading assist provider.
This was already Kylian’s 31st assist for ‘Les Tricolores’, allowing him to surpass Atlético Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann in this category.
Since debuting for France in March 2017, the 26-year-old attacker has played 89 matches and scored 46 goals.
