France international of Cameroonian descent Aurélien Tchouaméni has opened up working under new coach Xabi Alonso at Real Madrid.

The Spanish trainer joined Madrid at the end of last season, replacing Carlo Ancelotti following an unimpressive campaign that saw the Los Blancos missed out on all titles.

However, Aurélien Tchouaméni, who has consistently featured under Alonso says he is pleased with his approach and feels things are going well.

“I’m satisfied with Xabi Alonso, things are going well, and he has new ideas for me and for the team. But I think since the start of 2025, things have been going much better for me, and I was already feeling good under Carlo Ancelotti,” Tchouaméni commented.

The 25-year-old midfielder, who joined Real Madrid in summer 2022 has made three appearances in the Spanish La Liga, helping the club to secure three consecutive wins.

Ahead of the resumption of club football, Real Madrid will take on Real Sociedad in matchday 4 of the La Liga on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Xabi Alonso has been named as the La Liga Coach of the Month for August following Real Madrid’s impressive run.
