Franco-Cameroonian defender Yaël Nandjou set for OGC Nice departure
Franco-Cameroonian defender Yaël Nandjou is set to depart OGC Nice in the ongoing summer transfer window.
The 19-year-old is leaving his formative club following the expiration of his contract with the French Ligue 1 outfit.
Nandjou, who passed through the academy at Nice, made his first-team debut for Le Gym this season. He was one of the many youngsters to benefit from the injury crisis that plagued Franck Haise’s side and left him leaning on the academy, particularly in the UEFA Europa League campaign, which became something of an after-thought.
The left-back made four appearances in that competition, whilst he also made three appearances in Ligue 1 and one in the Coupe de France.
However, despite breaking through, he is not expected to stay. He will leave the club upon the expiry of his deal this summer.
Meanwhile, the defender is expected to sign a three-year deal at Alverca, recently promoted to the Portuguese top-flight.
