In response to the statements made by Moroccan goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, Argentine international Franco Armani, the goalkeeper for River Plate, warmly welcomed the possibility of Bounou joining the team.
Armani, as reported by the Argentine newspaper “Olé,” expressed his enthusiasm for Bounou’s potential inclusion in River Plate, citing the Moroccan goalkeeper as an exceptional player and a highly respectful individual.
Armani emphasized that Bounou is a globally recognized star and one of the best goalkeepers currently, noting that his addition would be a strong asset for the team.
“I’ve come to appreciate Bounou a lot. He always speaks in a positive manner.
If his dream is to make that move and join River Plate, then welcome him,” said Armani. He continued, “I have no objection to this deal.
He has always wished the best for others, and from my side, I say to him, welcome to River Plate.
The time will come, and if that’s his wish, he will be the club’s goalkeeper.”
Bounou, in previous press statements, revealed his dream of moving to the Argentine league and donning the jersey of River Plate.
It is worth noting that Yassine Bounou is currently in Côte d’Ivoire to participate with the Moroccan national team in the Africa Cup of Nations.
The team is set to play their first match against Tanzania next Wednesday at the Laurent Pokou Stadium in San Pedro.
Bounou’s aspirations to play in the Argentine league, particularly with River Plate, have garnered positive responses and created anticipation for a potential move in the future.
