Franco-Algerian attacker Ryan Cherki has officially announced his departure from Olympique Lyon following the closure of the campaign.
The 21-year-old is leaving the French giants as a free agent after failing to extend his contract, which expire in June 2025.
Cherki, who has already featured for France at the youth level has been with Lyon since 2020. However, after almost six-year spell, the enterprising attacker has decided to end his spell at the club.
The enterprising winger was a standout performer in the recently concluded campaign for Lyon, scoring 12 goals and providing 20 assists in 44 appearances.
In his six-year spell at the club, Cherki made 185 appearances for Lyon, scoring 29 goals and providing 45 assists across competitions.
Having exploded for Lyon in the just ended season, Cherki has caught the attention of several clubs heading into the summer transfer window.
Premier League clubs Manchester United and Liverpool as well as Borussia Dortmund are all said to be interested in the attacker.
Lyon finished the season in seventh place in the table and secured a spot in European competitions for next season. The team collected 57 points from 34 matches.
