Franco-Algerian international Ryan Cherki has reportedly agree to join Premier League giants Manchester City this summer.
The 21-year-old enterprising attacker is leaving Olympique Lyon despite having an existing contract with the French giants.
He has become a subject of interest for several clubs in Europe following a swashbuckling performance in the recently concluded campaign, scoring 12 goals and delivering 20 assists in 44 appearances across competitions.
Cherki, convinced with the project at Manchester City, the talented winger has agreed terms to move to the Etihad this summer.
The winger’s proposed move is expected to worth around €40 million, with City fast-tracking process to lure the attacker ahead of the impending FIFA Club World Cup tournament to be staged in the USA next month.
During the summer transfer window, Lyon had reached an agreement with Fulham for the transfer of the creative midfielder. However, the player rejected this opportunity. In January, Borussia Dortmund were linked with a move but reportedly came in too late to convince Lyon to part ways.
