Franck Ribéry is reportedly furious following claims that a private sex tape involving the French footballer was secretly recorded during a team gathering in the South of France. The incident allegedly took place shortly before Ribéry withdrew from the World Cup squad due to back pain.
The latest edition of Closer magazine has published reports claiming possession of the tape, sparking immediate backlash from Ribéry and his family.
The footballer’s lawyer issued a strong statement condemning the publication: “Franck and Wahiba Ribéry have decided to file a complaint against Closer, which claims to have a ‘hot video’ of the player. The existence of such a video, recorded without their knowledge, seriously infringes on their privacy, dignity, and family life.”
The Ribérys emphasized that they have never given consent for any private images or information to be made public. “Only photographs or details related to public or sporting events are authorised for publication,” the lawyer added.
Questions remain about whether the alleged video will be released online, adding another layer of concern over the star’s private life amid his footballing challenges.
