Francis Koné Weighs Options Amid Interest from UAE and South Africa
Togolese striker Francis Koné, currently on trial with South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs, is attracting interest from clubs beyond the continent. According to sources, Al Nasr of the United Arab Emirates has also expressed interest in signing the free agent, who parted ways with Omani side Al Mussanah earlier this year.
Despite the lucrative offer from Dubai, Koné appears to favour a move to the Kaizer Chiefs. A source close to the player told Soccer Laduma: “He has a big offer from Dubai but wants to stay with the Chiefs. He has integrated well since last week and is keen to continue his career in the South African league.”
The Togolese international, who has earned two caps for the national team, has one week left to impress Kaizer Chiefs head coach Stuart Baxter, who will make a final decision on his future at the club.
