FRANCE / TAX AT 75%: THE STRIKE IS POSTPONED!
The strike planned by Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 clubs, expressing dissatisfaction with the 75% tax imposed by the French government, has been postponed. This decision comes after the first part of a mediation process initiated by Jean Galvany, a deputy of the Socialist Party, and discussions with the leaders of professional football clubs in France. The clubs are working to find appropriate arrangements and create opportunities for French football to remain competitive. The decision on whether to continue with the strike, including the proposed “white day” on November 30, will be made by the UCPF commission on Thursday. Adjustments to the law are also under discussion.
