Monaco’s Eric Abidal is expressing his hope for Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to face challenges and possibly drop points in their quest for the Ligue 1 title. Monaco is currently trailing PSG in the championship race, and Abidal believes that PSG, with their busy schedule and squad rotation, might encounter difficulties that could be advantageous for Monaco.
Abidal stated, “Paris has got used to it, has a good group and an intelligent coach who rotates his squad. Now they will certainly leave feathers there. As the coach says and as I also say, the important thing is us, the results we can achieve, the points we can take, taking advantage of the opponents’ missteps.”
He acknowledges that PSG is a strong team but emphasizes the importance of Monaco focusing on their own performance and seizing opportunities presented by their rivals’ mistakes. Monaco will face Valenciennes in their upcoming match on the 19th day of Ligue 1.
