Jean-Guy Wallemme has decided to step down from his position as the coach of the Congo national team to focus exclusively on his role at AJ Auxerre. The French manager, who took charge of the Red Devils of Congo in August 2011, was unable to qualify the team for the next African Cup of Nations. With his full attention now on AJ Auxerre, the club’s leaders hope that Wallemme can lead the team to promotion to Ligue 1 in the French second division (Ligue 2).
