Ligue 2 2014/15 Season Set to Kick Off on August 1
Following the release of the Ligue 1 schedule, the French Professional Football League (LFP) has also announced the fixtures for the Ligue 2 2014/15 campaign.
The season will begin on Friday, August 1, with eight matches scheduled that day. One more fixture will take place on Saturday, followed by the final match of the opening weekend on Monday.
Among the notable encounters, recently relegated sides Valenciennes and Ajaccio will both start with away games—Valenciennes visiting Gazélec Ajaccio, while Ajaccio travel to Arles-Avignon.
Meanwhile, Sochaux, also relegated from Ligue 1, will open their campaign at home against Orléans.
