Ahmed Dawidar, a former star of Zamalek, has revealed that Mahmoud Alaa, a defender for the first football team at Zamalek Club, has signed contracts to join Pyramids FC.
Mahmoud Alaa’s contract with Zamalek, the White Knights, expires at the end of the current season, and the player has not renewed his contract with the club thus far.
In televised statements on Al-Mehwar TV channel, Ahmed Dawidar stated: “I have information that Mahmoud Alaa held a session in recent days with officials from Pyramids FC, and he signed contracts to join the sky-blue team starting from the next season.”
He further added: “In my opinion, Mahmoud Alaa is a very important player for Zamalek Club.
He has vast experience, and his contract should have been renewed because his departure would be a significant loss for the White Knights.”
Concluding his remarks, he said: “It will be challenging for Zamalek Club to compensate for the departure of Mahmoud Alaa because there are no defenders in the Egyptian League who can play for Zamalek.”
