Algerian football club Club Sportif Constantinois (CSC) has made a significant acquisition during the winter transfer period, announcing the signing of Gabonese international Axel Méyé. The former Raja Casablanca player has committed to a two-season contract with CSC, marking a new chapter in his professional journey.
Axel Méyé, 28, brings a wealth of experience to Club Sportif Constantinois, having previously adorned the jerseys of renowned clubs such as Raja Casablanca, Olympique de Safi, and Ittihad Tanger.
His football odyssey also includes stints with Kuwaiti club Al-Qadisiyah in 2018, FC Paris, and Turkish club Eskişehirspor during the 2016-2017 season.
The Gabonese midfielder, who joined Raja in the summer of 2022 from Ittihad de Tangier for a transfer fee of 350 million centimes, faced performance challenges during his tenure with the Moroccan club.
As a result, both parties mutually agreed to terminate Méyé’s contract, paving the way for his new venture with Club Sportif Constantinois in Algeria.
Club Sportif Constantinois, recognizing the potential and skill that Axel Méyé brings to the midfield, expressed their enthusiasm about the two-season contract.
The club aims to leverage Méyé’s experience to enhance their performance in domestic and possibly international competitions.
The signing of Axel Méyé underscores the dynamic nature of football’s transfer market and the strategic moves that clubs make to strengthen their squads.
As CSC welcomes the Gabonese international into their ranks, football enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the impact Méyé will make in the Algerian football scene and how he will contribute to Club Sportif Constantinois’ pursuit of success on the pitch.
