Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Rudolph “Gardner” Seale is backing his former employers to secure double victory against Orlando Pirates.
Kaizer Chiefs will take on Pirates on May 3, 2025 in the South African top-flight before the Cup final a week later.
And Seale in an interview emphasized that both matches against Pirates are crucial for the Kaizer Chiefs and is confident for the double.
“Both matches are important for the Chiefs, they can’t choose between them. The league match is crucial, considering their position in the standings – they need to secure a spot in the top eight. And on the 10th, we need to end the trophy drought.
Judging by their victory over Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday, I believe the Chiefs can defeat the Pirates in both matches. They need to approach both games with the same mindset they had against Sundowns. Sometimes you don’t need a tactical approach, just for the captain and the team to show their mettle on the day,” said Seale.
