The Settat Sports Union organized a football event aimed at bridging generations in the late Ayoub Khattabi League. The event was organized to honor former goalkeeper of Settat’s Renaissance Club, Mohamed Malouki.
The ceremony was attended by the Regional Director of Education, the family of the late Ayoub Khattabi, as well as representatives from various sports, labor, and social organizations, all aiming to provide support and encouragement to children, especially those from disadvantaged neighborhoods.
Mohamed Malouki, the former goalkeeper of the Renaissance Club in Settat, expressed his honor at being recognized. Speaking to Hespress, Malouki offered a series of advice to the youth, both locally in the Settat region and nationally, encouraging them to engage in various sports as a means of personal development and self-improvement, emphasizing the importance of hard work and self-belief in achieving aspirations.
Regarding the Moroccan national team’s performance in the recent African Cup of Nations (AFCON), Malouki expressed confidence despite their exit from the tournament after facing Ivory Coast.
He attributed his optimism to the presence of several young players who, he believes, serve as a reservoir of talent for the national team, emphasizing the importance of integrating local players to achieve the ambitions of domestic clubs.
Abdel Razzaq Zaki, President of the Settat Sports Union, highlighted the significance of the final match of the late Ayoub Khattabi League, won by the team “Remaining Goodness,” which saw the distribution of awards and honors to participating teams.
He praised the contributions of Mohamed Malouki, stating that his dedication to sports has greatly enhanced Settat’s reputation both locally and nationally.
