Khaled Gadallah, former Egypt national team and Al Ahly star, affirmed that Mahmoud Kahraba’s behavior, the forward for the first football team of Al Ahly Club, in apologizing for not joining the team’s lineup against Medeama, was “unprofessional” and unjustified, having no relation to professionalism and is unprecedented in any club worldwide.
He pointed out that there are players who have difficult circumstances but still show up for matches, and the only permissible scenario for his absence is obtaining consent and permission from the team’s head coach.
Gadallah stated on the “Box to Box” program, “I am not in favor of technical penalties.
There are penalty regulations, and a financial penalty is better than a technical one, especially when the team needs a player’s efforts in specific matches.
Al Ahly might suffer from Kahraba’s technical exclusion.”
He added, “Kahraba is number 1 among Al Ahly’s attackers in my opinion because Wissam Abou Ali still needs time for assessment.
Certainly, Kahraba’s exclusion (punishment) by the head coach is possible, but I am not in favor of it, especially with the team’s involvement in strong local and continental matches.”
He continued, “Kahraba is the most technically advanced attacker, and there is no player better than him in the current attack, whether Modest or Wissam Abou Ali.”
