Former Al Ahly star Ahmed Shouber has tipped Percy Tau has been tipped to join Zamalek SC.
The South African striker is currently a free agent after leaving Qatar SC, after joining the side in January.
The former Brighton forward has been strongly linked to the Egyptian club and Shouber in a social media post hinted that Tau and other Egyptian players could all end up at Zamalek.
“Shouber on Zamalek transfers: ‘Mohamed Sherif, Percy Tau, and Tamer Hossam have ended their contracts with their clubs, and Ahmed Abdelkader’s loan in Qatar has also ended, and it’s not far-fetched to see the quartet in Egypt and in one club,” Shouber tweeted.
However, Tau recently stated that he is open to listening to offers from South African teams.
“I will listen if there are offers, I’m not ruling out anyone. There’s a lot to take in, to consider, you have to consider age, how long the contract is and then family,” Tau told Robert Marawa.
“If that situation were to happen. I would pay attention to it.
“If Sundowns were not to offer me a contract and Chiefs does, then it won’t be my fault but theirs that I’ve gone to join Chiefs,” he added.
