Ruud Krol, the Dutch coach, has been appointed as the head coach of the Tunisian national football team. He will also continue his role as the coach of CS Sfaxien for the next two months. Krol has prior experience in African football, having led CS Sfaxien to the Tunisian championship title in 2013. He also served as Egypt’s assistant coach from 1994 to 1996. The former Ajax Amsterdam defender has an illustrious career, winning three Champions Cups and playing in two World Cup finals. Tunisia is set to face Cameroon in the Africa zone play-offs, with the first leg in Tunis in October and the return leg in Yaoundé in November.
