In the latest FIFA rankings published this Thursday, Senegal has seen a significant improvement, climbing 6 places from 69th to 63rd in the world. This rise comes after their participation in a FIFA date on February 17 against Mali, where they secured a 1-1 draw. As a result, Senegal now sits at 13th place in Africa.
FIFA has recently clarified that honoring these FIFA dates, during which national teams can play matches against other countries, is among the criteria considered for the FIFA ranking.
While Brazil, Spain, and Portugal dominate the global rankings, Ivory Coast leads the discussions at the continental level.
