The Disciplinary Committee of the Togolese Football Federation has decided to forfeit the match 3-0 to Gomido de Kpalimé following the incidents that marred the match against Anges FC on September 29. The match was interrupted in the 76th minute after the home team, Anges FC, scored, triggering protests from supporters. The Disciplinary Committee attributed the acts of violence to spectators from the Gomido group and imposed a fine of 200,000 CFA francs on the club. This decision may not sit well with Gomido’s president, Winny Dogbatsè, who had previously implicated the Togolese football federation as instigators of the violence observed in Togo’s stadiums in recent weeks.
