A crisis is unfolding within the Executive Office of the Togolese Football Federation (FTF), resulting in a wave of resignations. The governing body is experiencing significant turmoil due to internal discord among its members. Within a span of just one week, two managers have stepped down from their positions. Following the resignation of the first vice-president, Tino Adjété, last Monday, Kossi Adjodo has now followed suit, submitting his resignation to President Gabriel Améyi.
Like Adjété, Adjodo had been at odds with the federation’s president for several months and had ceased to participate in BE (Bureau Executive) meetings. His decision to resign was formalized through a letter sent to President Améyi over the past weekend, as reported by sources within the federation. The reaction of the president to this latest resignation remains to be seen.
With six months remaining until the end of the current Executive Office’s mandate, many observers anticipate the possibility of further resignations.
