The shortlist for the next coach of the Gabonese national football team has been revealed, featuring five notable names. The French candidates include Luis Fernandez and Pierre Lechantre, while the Serbian Ratomir Djukovic, who previously coached Ghana, is also in contention. Georges Leeskens from Belgium and the Gabonese Claude Mbourounout complete the list.
The selection will determine the successor to Paulo Duarte, who was dismissed two weeks prior. The Commission responsible for reviewing the 14 pre-selected coaching applications announced these five finalists. The decision on the new coach is expected to be made in early November.
