In the decisive match of Group B in the MTN Elite Two Accession Tournament held in Yaoundé, Lion from Fotouni emerged victorious against Dynamo de Douala with a scoreline of 2-1. Both teams had accumulated 6 points in the group stage, and the winner would earn promotion to D2.
The defeat was a bitter disappointment for Dynamo, and Club president Dinaly Marthe Ngo Mouaha had the challenging task of consoling her disappointed players. While Dynamo still retains hope of reaching the higher division, the fate of five teams, including Dynamo, depends on the potential expansion to 18 clubs in the elite championships, pending ratification by the Cameroonian Football Federation.
Lion Blessé now joins the previously qualified teams As Etoa-Meki from Yaoundé and Panthère Security from Garoua. These three teams, finishing at the top of their respective groups (A, B, and C), have earned promotion to the second division.
